General Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in an Engineering discipline,
- 5-7 years of experience in production, manufacturing, maintenance, operations, or a similar technical field,
- Preferably with previous experience in the tobacco/cigarette industry,
- Experience or knowledge of IWS (Integrated Work System), Open+, or similar operational excellence and continuous improvement systems,
- Preferably experienced in SAP or familiar with SAP applications,
- Good understanding of production processes, machinery/equipment, quality, and occupational safety,
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and problem-solving methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and 5 Why,
- Ability to monitor and analyze production KPIs and take appropriate actions based on performance results,
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills,
- Strong planning, organization, and prioritization skills,
- High leadership potential, with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills,
- Comfortable working actively on the shop floor, monitoring operations, and providing direction to the team when required,
- Open to change, with a strong willingness to learn and continuously develop,
- Effective communication and coordination skills,
- Proficient in MS Office applications,
- Preferably good command of English,
- Valid Class B driving license.
Job Description
- Ensure that the production line meets its safety, quality, production, cost, and efficiency targets,
- Monitor production activities to ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and legal requirements,
- Regularly monitor line performance and relevant KPIs, analyze deviations, and ensure that appropriate corrective actions are taken,
- Work closely with the team to achieve daily production targets and effectively manage shop-floor operations,
- Establish effective communication and coordination with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Planning, and other relevant departments,
- Identify production issues and lead root cause analysis to develop and implement sustainable solutions,
- Actively support the implementation and continuous improvement of IWS, Open+, and similar operational excellence systems,
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, and Kaizen, and support the team in these activities,
- Identify losses and inefficiencies on the production line and contribute to loss elimination activities,
- Support the development of team members by providing on-the-floor coaching and guidance when required,
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with safe working standards,
- Ensure consistent implementation of quality standards and production procedures,
- Support the monitoring and maintenance of required production and operational records through SAP,
- Contribute to the implementation of digitalization, automation, and new ways of working within production processes,
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and contribute to the sustainable improvement of production performance.
