RHI MAGNESITA

Performing quantitative and qualitative analysis, such as sampling, testing, and measuring using specialized equipment and a range of methods from standard and well-established routines;

Compiling, analyzing, and interpreting results;

Performing periodic equipment inspections and preventative maintenance work;

Researching technical and market trends;

Researching respective patents and technical databases;

Contributing to the development of new technologies;

Simulating product performance in controlled environment/software.

Establishing, coordinating, and improving integrated management systems including ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001

Organizing internal and external audits and following up actions related to audit findings

Monitoring daily and monthly non-conforming product rates and customer complaints, and defining corrective actions

Managing corrective actions and evaluating the effectiveness of implemented actions

Supporting new raw material and supplier approval processes through comparison and evaluation activities

Improving calibration tracking, laboratory-related equipment controls, sampling frequencies, and testing methods

Keeping stakeholder analysis, internal/external issues, and process risk & opportunity assessments up to date

Following quality targets and ensuring actions are taken for months with deviations or nonconformities

Monitoring deviation approval requests and ongoing projects

In addition, your tasks will include

• Setting and monitoring day-to-day operational objectives for the team.
• Addressing day-to-day operational issues, which may be challenging but are generally not complex.
• Ensuring that policies, practices, and procedures are clearly understood and consistently followed by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders.

What we expect from you in terms of

 Education, skills and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Metallurgical and Materials, Chemical, Ceramic Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in similar roles.

Soft Skills

Previous experience in team leadership, shift supervision, or line management roles.

Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies such as 5 Why Analysis, Fishbone Diagram, and A3 Problem Solving.

Experience monitoring and improving production KPIs such as OEE, yield, productivity, and scrap rates.

Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Understanding of quality management systems and operational excellence practices.

Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards and requirements.

Strong leadership and people management skills.

Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

Result-oriented and capable of working under pressure.

Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.

Languages

• English and Turkish – Proficient/Fluent
• Any other language will be considered an asset

Work Experience and Knowledge:

Minimum 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing environments, preferably in heavy industry, refractory, ceramics, cement, glass or building materials sectors.
