Purpose of the Position

We are seeking an experienced Financial (Plant) Controller to take ownership of financial controlling activities, cost management, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting within our manufacturing operations.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this position is classified at the Specialist / Senior Specialist level and does not include direct people management responsibilities. However, the role requires a high level of professional maturity, independent judgment, accountability, and financial expertise comparable to managerial-level expectations.

The successful candidate will act as a key financial business partner to Plant Management and Group Finance, providing valuable financial insights and driving improvements in financial performance and operational efficiency.

Areas of Responsibility

• Cost Control & Accounting: Take ownership of plant cost controlling and cost accounting processes, ensuring accurate cost analysis, monitoring, and reporting.

• Standard Costing: Manage standard cost revisions, calculate production rates, and establish appropriate markups.

• Project Cost Analysis: Conduct project cost analyses and provide financial insights during quotation and project evaluation processes.

• Financial Reporting & Forecasting: Take responsibility for monthly financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis within the assigned scope.

• Group Finance Reporting: Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports and analyses to Group Finance, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and deadlines.

• Variance Analysis: Identify and investigate financial variances, determine root causes, recommend corrective actions, and follow up on implementation.

• Performance Management: Develop and monitor financial KPIs, provide management with actionable insights, and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

• Working Capital & Inventory: Monitor and analyze working capital, cash flow, receivables, payables, and inventory performance. Ensure accurate inventory valuation and stock reporting.

• Capex Control: Evaluate and monitor capital expenditure requests, track investment budgets, and prepare periodic Capex reports.

• System & Process Improvements: Drive improvements in ERP systems, financial reporting, process automation, and data accuracy in collaboration with relevant departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.

• 5–7 years of experience in Finance, including at least 3 years in Financial, Plant, or Cost Controlling within the manufacturing industry.

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting, standard costing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

• Knowledge and practical experience in IFRS reporting.

• Advanced MS Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

• Strong analytical thinking, business acumen, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently, take ownership of financial processes, and demonstrate a high level of accountability.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management.

• Proactive, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

• Audit experience is a strong advantage.
