We are looking for a Senior Lawyer to join our legal team, providing comprehensive strategic legal support for our international operations in the mining and industrial sectors.

Qualifications:

• Law degree from a reputable university
• Minimum 4 years of post-qualification experience in international contracting, preferably in the mining, energy, construction, or other large-scale industrial sectors
• Demonstrated experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts in English
• Solid understanding of commercial and operational aspects of large-scale industrial projects
• Fluency in written and spoken English is required; additional languages are an advantage
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and manage multiple matters across jurisdictions
• Detail-oriented with a practical, business-focused approach to legal risk management

Responsibilities:

• Support the end-to-end contract lifecycle management process for mining operations in close coordination with the procurement, finance, and operational teams
• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a wide range of commercial contracts, including procurement, supply, service, subcontracting, leasing, logistics, labor, technology, utilities, land use, security, and pre-contractual agreements (e.g. NDAs, MoUs, and term sheets).
• Provide practical legal advice to internal stakeholders on contractual rights, obligations, and commercial risks.
• Contribute to the development, standardization, and continuous improvement of contract templates and internal contracting procedures.
• Participate in contract negotiations with suppliers, contractors, and other third parties to support commercially balanced outcomes and effective risk mitigation.
• Coordinate contract execution, filing, and record management, ensuring contracts are properly maintained and accessible.
• Monitor contract milestones, key obligations, renewals, amendments, and expiration dates, and provide timely support to relevant business functions.
• Support compliance with applicable laws, internal policies, and corporate governance requirements in contractual matters.
• Liaise with external legal counsel when required and assist in managing legal matters across multiple jurisdictions.
• Keep abreast of legal and regulatory developments relevant to the company's operations and provide updates where necessary
