We are looking for a highly experienced Finance & Accounting Manager to lead and manage all accounting and financial operations at our Head Office in Istanbul, Güneşli.
General Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields,
- SMMM (Certified Public Accountant) certification is required,
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting,
- Experience in long-term construction projects (percentage of completion accounting / project-based revenue recognition), preferably in international projects or operations,
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in IFRS, TFRS, and inflation accounting,
- Solid background in financial reporting, consolidation, and group reporting,
- Experience in project-based accounting, revenue recognition, and cost control,
- Strong expertise in tax regulations (VAT, corporate tax, withholding tax, etc.),
- Experience in ERP systems, including ability to propose system improvements for accounting and reporting processes,
- Advanced Excel skills for analysis, reporting, and process optimization,
- Advanced level of English (written and spoken),
- Experience in multi-country operations is highly preferred,
- Strong leadership, analytical, and team management capabilities,
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills,
- Holds a valid driver’s license and is open to frequent travel,
- Residing in Istanbul (preferably on the European side) or willing to commute to Head Office.
Job Description
- Lead and manage Finance and Accounting teams within group companies,
- Ensure full compliance with IFRS/TFRS, inflation accounting standards, and applicable local regulations,
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes,
- Prepare and oversee consolidated financial statements and group reporting,
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes,
- Monitor cash flow, treasury operations, and liquidity planning,
- Manage accounting and financial processes for project-based and operational activities,
- Support contract-based revenue recognition and cost tracking,
- Supervise general ledger transactions, reconciliations, and ensure accuracy of financial reporting,
- Oversee VAT, corporate tax, withholding tax, and other tax filings; ensure full compliance,
- Manage and coordinate VAT refund processes, including preparation, submission, and follow-up of VAT refund claims with relevant authorities,
- Lead internal and external audit processes, working closely with independent audit firms and financial institutions,
- Establish, strengthen, and monitor internal control and reporting systems,
- Conduct variance analysis and provide strategic financial insights to management,
- Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies,
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes through best practices and technology.
