B-CLASS OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY SPECIALIST

We are looking for a B-Class Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at our manufacturing facility located in the Adana Hacı Sabancı Organized Industrial Zone (AOSB).

The successful candidate will take an active role in ensuring a safe working environment across our manufacturing operations, supporting legal compliance, strengthening our safety culture, and continuously improving our Occupational Health and Safety performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Ensure the effective implementation of OHS practices and conduct regular workplace inspections and field monitoring across the manufacturing site.

· Conduct and follow up on risk assessments, JSA, workplace inspections, safety observations, non-conformities, and corrective and preventive actions.

· Investigate occupational accidents, incidents, and near misses; conduct root cause analyses and follow up on corrective actions.

· Monitor high-risk activities, including lifting operations, hot work, work at height, confined spaces, electrical work, and LOTO.

· Monitor periodic inspections, testing, measurements, and maintenance requirements of machinery and equipment.

· Manage contractor and subcontractor OHS activities, including induction, risk assessments, Method Statement review, and Permit-to-Work processes.

· Plan and conduct induction, periodic, Toolbox Talks, and task-specific OHS training for employees and contractors.

· Develop and maintain emergency response plans, organize drills, and follow up on improvement actions.

· Ensure compliance with Turkish OHS legislation.

· Monitor and report HSE performance indicators and contribute to OHS objectives and continuous improvement activities within the Integrated Management System.

· Prepare for and participate in internal, external, customer, certification, and regulatory HSE audits, and follow up on audit findings.

· Support compliance with customer-specific HSE requirements and communicate with international customers and stakeholders in English when required.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related discipline.

· Minimum B-Class Occupational Safety Specialist Certificate.

· Minimum 3 years of OHS experience, preferably in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.

· Experience in metal fabrication, pressure vessel manufacturing, steel structures, industrial construction, or similar projects is preferred.

· Strong knowledge of Turkish OHS legislation and ISO 45001.

· NEBOSH and/or IOSH certification is an advantage.

· Knowledge of risk assessment, JSA, incident investigation, root cause analysis, and HSE performance monitoring.

· Experience with contractor management and Permit-to-Work systems.

· Strong field presence with a proactive and hands-on approach to safety management.

· Good command of English, with the ability to communicate effectively with international customers during meetings, audits, and project activities.

· Proficiency in MS Office applications.

· Residing in Adana.
