We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivatedCommis 2 to join our team at The Grand Tarabya Istanbul Managed by Accor.

Job Description

As a Commis 2, you will support the Chef de Partie, Demi Chef de Partie, and Commis 1 in the daily operation of your assigned kitchen section. You will assist with food preparation, mise en place, cleanliness, and basic kitchen operations while developing your culinary skills in a professional hotel environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior kitchen staff.
• Support the Chef de Partie, Demi Chef de Partie, and Commis 1 during daily kitchen operations.
• Prepare mise en place according to kitchen requirements.
• Follow recipes, portion standards, and food presentation guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards at all times.
• Assist with stock control and report shortages to senior kitchen staff.
• Help minimize food waste and support cost-control practices.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
• Follow company policies and kitchen procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Commis 2, Kitchen Trainee, or similar role is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Team-oriented and willing to learn.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for cooking and developing culinary skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
