Merzigo is currently seeking a meticulous and organized Assistant Accounting Specialist to join their dynamic team. The Assistant Accounting Specialist will be responsible for processing daily bank records, managing E-invoices, E-Archive Invoices, and E-Dispatch Notes, and ensuring accurate entry of purchase invoices. This role includes following up on collections and payments, entering various accounting documents into the system, performing reconciliations of current accounts, and filing accounting documents. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in accounting, proficiency in SAP and MS Office programs, and the ability to support the preparation of VAT and Withholding-SGK declarations. A strong knowledge of the Uniform Chart of Accounts is also required

Responsibilities

• Ensuring managerial approval of documents such as E-Invoices and E-Archive invoices and recording them into the accounting system

• Performing account reconciliations and responding to incoming confirmations in a timely manner

• Supporting the preparation processes of tax declarations such as VAT and VAT2

• Assisting with Social Security Institution (SGK) and tax office procedures

• Following up on official book notarization procedures

• Preparing requested information for internal and external audits and collaborating with the manager during the process

• Preparing accounting-related correspondence, ensuring document compliance, and performing necessary checks

• Filing accounting documents, archiving them digitally, and ensuring their orderly maintenance
