Purchasing Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Specialist to join our team at our Dilovası Factory, reporting to the Purchasing Operations Lead.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing operations, experience in metal and casting industry is preferred
• Experience with ERP systems (Canias knowledge is an advantage)
• Knowledge of purchasing processes and supplier and subcontractor management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience in purchase order management and follow-up processes.
• Ability to read technical drawings with knowledge of manufacturing processes and raw materials
• Advanced English communication skills (both written and verbal)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing operations for direct production materials, mechanical and mechatronic components, and subcontracted manufacturing
• Monitor the delivery status of assigned purchase orders.
• Take necessary actions in case of delivery delays or logistics issues and escalate unresolved matters to the Purchasing Operations Lead.
• Manage supplier non-conformities, return and repair processes, and support cost recovery activities
• Communicate effectively with local and international suppliers and follow up import and customs operations
• Support alternative supplier development activities to improve cost efficiency and supply chain performance
• Work closely with the Planning, Procurement Contracts, and Warehouse teams
• Contribute to the effective use and continuous improvement of ERP systems within purchasing processes
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to purchasing processes
