Role Overview
The Assistant General Manager will serve as the right hand of the General Manager, playing a pivotal role in the strategic and operational leadership of the resort. This position requires a seasoned hospitality executive who can seamlessly manage multi-departmental operations, drive performance excellence, and step into the General Manager’s role when required. As a founding member of the leadership team, the AGM will be instrumental in shaping the resort’s operational culture and standards from day one.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the General Manager in overseeing and coordinating daily operations across all hotel departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Engineering, and Security
• Act as the senior on-site decision-maker in the absence of the General Manager, ensuring operational continuity and leadership presence
• Ensure consistent service delivery aligned with TUI Blue brand standards, quality benchmarks, and health & safety regulations
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all departments in preparation for and following the hotel’s opening phase
• Monitor and optimize departmental KPIs including RevPAR, guest satisfaction scores, operational costs, and staff productivity metrics
• Conduct regular operational audits, quality inspections, and mystery guest evaluations to maintain service excellence
• Collaborate with the General Manager on strategic planning, annual budgeting, and capital expenditure proposals
• Lead pre-opening coordination efforts, including staff recruitment support, departmental setup, and operational readiness assessments
• Manage vendor and supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and ensuring procurement efficiency
• Implement and oversee technology solutions including PMS (Elektraweb), channel management, and guest communication systems
• Chair daily operations meetings and weekly HOD meetings, ensuring clear communication and accountability across all teams
• Drive sustainability initiatives and energy management programs in line with TUI Group’s environmental commitments
• Handle escalated guest complaints and critical incidents, ensuring swift resolution and proper documentation
• Ensure full compliance with Turkish hospitality regulations, fire safety codes, and local municipality requirements
• Represent the hotel in the General Manager’s absence at corporate meetings, owner relations, and external stakeholder engagements
Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or Master’s degree is a plus
• Strong Food & Beverage operations background (multi outlet , all inclusive , banqueting ) combined with broad hotel operational experience.
• Minimum 5–8 years of progressive experience in hotel operations, with at least 2 years in a senior management role at a 5-star resort
• Pre-opening experience in a hotel or resort of 400+ rooms is highly desirable
• Proven track record with international hotel chains or TUI group properties
• Fluency in English is mandatory; Turkish language skills are essential; German and/or Russian proficiency is a strong advantage
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop cross-functional teams of 100+ employees
• In-depth knowledge of hotel PMS systems (Elektraweb preferred), revenue management, and operational analytics
• Excellent financial acumen with experience in P&L management, budgeting, and cost control
• Strong understanding of Turkish labor law, hospitality regulations, and health & safety compliance
• Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and crisis management skills
• Willingness to relocate to Antalya and work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
