We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled lawyer to join our team and lead our data privacy and compliance efforts, focusing on KVKK and GDPR regulations
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice on KVKK, GDPR, and other relevant data protection laws and regulations.
- Conduct and manage compliance audits for clients, ensuring adherence to KVKK/GDPR and other related regulatory frameworks.
- Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs and policies tailored to clients' specific needs.
- Assist clients in responding to data breaches, regulatory inquiries, and investigations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate data processing agreements, privacy policies, and other legal documentation.
- Lead training sessions and workshops for clients on data privacy and compliance issues.
- Monitor changes in privacy laws and regulations, providing timely updates and guidance to clients.
- Collaborate with other legal teams to ensure comprehensive legal support across different practice areas.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in law (LL.B) and/or master’s degree in law (LL.M) from a university.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data privacy and compliance, with a focus on KVKK and GDPR.
- Knowledge of Labor Law, Law of Obligations,Contracts Law and Commercial Law is an advantage.
- Proficiency in English is required, both written and spoken. Additional language skills are a plus.
- CIPP/E or other relevant certifications in data privacy and protection will be an added advantage.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office programs.
