Driven by a robust global sourcing network and retail-oriented product capabilities, Egemen Group is expanding and seeking aCommercial Product Procurement & Import Operations Specialist to take ownership of its international procurement and import workflows.

Position Purpose

The Commercial Product Procurement & Import Operations Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end operational processes of imported commercial products, covering supplier communication, order placement, production monitoring, logistics, and customs clearance.

The role ensures products are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards by driving day-to-day procurement and import operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day procurement operations for commercial products across the kitchenware, home & living, seasonal and outdoor categories.
• Lead communication and relationships with existing and prospective suppliers, primarily in China and broader Far East markets.
• Solicit and benchmark supplier quotations, evaluating unit pricing, MOQs, technical specifications, payment terms, and lead times.
• Create, issue, and maintain purchase orders (POs) accurately within the ERP system throughout the entire order lifecycle.
• Oversee the end-to-end sample approval process, coordinating technical specs, dimensions, materials, colorways, and packaging requirements with internal teams.
• Track production progress and manufacturing lead times, proactively identifying risks and escalating potential delays.
• Manage end-to-end import documentation, including Proforma/Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading (B/L), Certificates of Origin, and customs-related paperwork.
• Coordinate freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics partners to ensure timely loading, transit, customs clearance, and warehouse delivery.
• Audit and track landed costs, monitoring product-level procurement expenses, freight charges, and import duties.
• Evaluate and report supplier performance based on OTIF (on-time, in-full) delivery, quality consistency, and cost competitiveness.
• Prepare operational reports and dashboards covering order statuses, pipeline shipments, inventory arrivals, and supplier KPIs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Planning, Quality, Finance, and Warehouse teams.
• Assist in global sourcing, supplier scouting, and market intelligence, including preparation for and follow-up from international trade fairs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Foreign Trade, Logistics, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field,
• Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial product procurement, import operations, or international trade,
• Experience in kitchenware, home & living, seasonal, outdoor, or general non-FMCG retail categories is preferred,
• Proven track record of working with suppliers in China and the Far East,
• Solid knowledge of import procedures, customs documentation, and Incoterms,
• Professional working proficiency in written and spoken English, capable of conducting supplier negotiations and business correspondence independently,
• Advanced MS Office skills, particularly in Excel,
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and procurement/inventory modules is preferred,
• Strong follow-up, planning, organizational, and operational reporting capabilities,
• Detail-oriented and structured, with strong multitasking and task-prioritization skills,
• Effective commercial communication and negotiation skills,
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required,
• Residing in or willing to relocate to Izmir.
