Work Arrangement: On-site (Office-based- Except Fridays) 

Working Hours: US Eastern Time  November to March: 16:30 – 02:00 (Istanbul time) March to November: 15:30 – 01:00 (Istanbul time) 

About the Position

We are a US-based FMC and IATA certified international freight forwarding company seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Air Export Associate to join our Istanbul office in Beylikdüzü.

The successful candidate will support and coordinate daily air export operations, working closely with our US-based team, customers, airlines, overseas agents, vendors, and other relevant parties. 

This position requires frequent communication in English, both verbally and in writing. Therefore, candidates must have excellent English communication skills and feel completely comfortable conducting professional phone conversations, handling business correspondence, and communicating with colleagues in English on a daily basis. 

Please note that this position follows US Eastern Time working hours, not standard Turkish business hours. Candidates must be fully comfortable and available to work according to the seasonal working schedule specified above. 

Key Responsibilities 

-Coordinate and follow up on daily air export shipments and operational activities. ---Communicate with airlines, customers, overseas agents, vendors, and other relevant parties through emails and telephone calls. 

-Handle shipment bookings, scheduling, and operational coordination.

-Prepare, review, and follow up on air export documentation.

-Monitor shipment progress and provide timely updates to relevant parties. 

-Coordinate with the US-based operations team to ensure smooth and efficient shipment handling. 

-Identify and follow up on operational issues and assist in resolving shipment-related problems. 

-Maintain accurate shipment records and ensure timely updates in the company's operating systems. 

- Ensure that operational procedures and applicable requirements are properly followed. 

Qualifications & Requirements 

-Excellent command of written and spoken English.

-Strong confidence in communicating professionally in English, particularly over the phone and through business emails.

-Ability to independently handle daily business correspondence and telephone conversations in English. 

-Willingness and full availability to work according to the specified US Eastern Timebased working schedule. 

-Ability to work on-site at our office in Beylikdüzü, Istanbul.

-Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills. 

-High attention to detail, reliability, and a responsible approach to work. 

-Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within an international team. ---Previous experience in the freight forwarding or international logistics industry.

  Preferred Qualifications 

The following qualifications will be considered an advantage:

-Experience in air freight and air export operations. 

-Familiarity with US air cargo operations and export procedures. 

-Familiarity with air freight documentation, airline booking procedures, and shipment tracking. 

-Knowledge of CargoWise freight management software. 

-Experience communicating and coordinating with US-based customers, airlines, and overseas agents.
