Planning Engineer

We are looking for an analytical, proactive, and solution-oriented Planning Engineer to join our Supply Chain team. In this role, you will coordinate internal and external supply planning to ensure customer orders are completed and dispatched in line with confirmed delivery dates, while supporting efficient inventory, capacity, and production planning.

What You Will Do

Order, Production & Supply Planning 

• Determine delivery dates for sales orders based on production and assembly workloads, and communicate timelines to Customer Service and Sales. 
• Coordinate the end-to-end planning process to ensure products are ready for customers by the agreed delivery dates. 
• Check stocks of semi-finished goods, auxiliary materials, and traded products; identify shortages against daily, weekly, and monthly plans. 
• Communicate internally manufactured requirements to Production and externally sourced requirements to Purchasing, and follow up on delivery dates. 
• Prepare and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production and assembly priorities in collaboration with Production and Assembly Engineers. 
• Ensure that appropriate work orders are issued and follow any intermediate processes until semi-finished goods reach the assembly lines. 

Inventory, Capacity & Continuous Improvement 

• Support the business in operating with optimum inventory levels while maintaining service continuity. 
• Use Kanban principles in production and planning activities. 
• Contribute to capacity, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives. 
• Communicate changes in delivery schedules to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner. 
• Prepare requested planning reports and support the monthly count of semi-finished goods. 

Quality, Compliance & Operational Excellence 

• Carry out activities in line with the Quality Management System and support departmental audit readiness. 
• Contribute to process management, internal audits, risk and opportunity identification, and improvement actions. 
• Support compliance with applicable requirements, including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001. 

What We Expect

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. 
• Minimum 3 years of experience in production planning or supply planning, preferably in a manufacturing environment. 
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an advantage.
• Ability to analyse material requirements, inventory levels, open orders, and production constraints, proactively identify shortages, and take timely corrective action.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and confident use of Microsoft Office applications. 
• Strong analytical thinking, prioritisation, and fast decision-making skills. 
• Ability to coordinate effectively across Production, Assembly, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Sales teams. 
• Knowledge of Kanban, inventory planning, capacity planning, and continuous improvement practices. 
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 core tools, including APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, and MSA, is preferred. 
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 27001 is an advantage. 
• English language skills are preferred.
