Allied Land Command (LANDCOM) HQ is the Theatre Land Component and Land Advocate responsible for coordinating and synchronizing NATO and Partner Land Forces by enabling land domain readiness, interoperability, standardization, and competency; on order deploys headquarters elements to provide planning, coordination, and command capabilities to Allied forces.

The Support Directorate is responsible for providing LANDCOM with organizational structures, personnel, logistics, communications and information systems and base support.

The Base Support Group provides LANDCOM with transportation, infrastructure maintenance, air travel support, Morale and Welfare activities, printing, supply and property control and coordinates with the Host Nation the provision of security and safety.

Essential Qualifications

-At least 3 years' experience in bus driving.

-Having Driver's or Operator's License Classes B1, B, C1, C, D1, D. (Driving Licenses will be attached to CVs.)

-Having technical knowledge of motor vehicles.

-Having knowledge of job-related environmental legislation.

-English - NATO Standard Language Proficiency

-English: LSRW (Listening ,Speaking, Reading, Writing) - 1111. (For more information search on NATO STANAG 6001.)

Desirable Qualifications

- Training on safety driving. (Certificate will be attached to CVs.)

- Training on security driving for protection.(Certificate will be attached to CVs.)

- Having knowledge of Health and Safety rules and regulations.

NOTE: The work both oral and written in this post and in this Headquarters as a whole is conducted mainly in English.

Job Description

1) Operates vehicles of types 81, B8, C1, C, D1 D for the transportation of personnel and goods to accomplish the assigned mission accordingly.

2) Cleans, refuels and preserves the assigned vehicles prepared and ready for the mission anytime.

3) Loads and unloads the cargo on/from the vehicle as required.

4) Conducts regular first level emergency maintenance of the vehicles.

5) Performs accident and first procedures as required upon having an accident.

6) Diagnoses defects, failures, malfunctions, reports them and takes vehicles to the shop for maintenance.

7) Prepares the required daily, weekly and monthly forms related to duties.

8) Reports mission results to the immediate supervisor.

9) Uses electronic navigation systems when appropriate.

10) Applies security techniques and tactics when carrying VIPs or in risk conditions.

11) May have to work unusual or extended hours.

12) May have to drive long distances (longer than a day).
