Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced EHS Manager to lead and manage all Environment, Health, and Safety activities at our food manufacturing facility in Hendek.The successful candidate will ensure compliance with local legislation and company standards, promote a safe working environment, and drive environmental sustainability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Turkish Occupational Health and Safety (Law No. 6331) and environmental legislation.

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and management systems.

• Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections, and incident investigations.

• Manage emergency response plans, drills, and corrective and preventive actions.

• Oversee waste management, environmental compliance, and sustainability initiatives.

• Ensure safe handling and storage of chemicals used in production and cleaning processes.

• Coordinate EHS training programs for employees and contractors.

• Lead internal and external EHS audits and inspections.

• Monitor EHS performance and report key indicators to senior management.

• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to continuously improve workplace safety and environmental performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

• Valid Class B Occupational Safety Specialist Certificate issued by the Turkish Ministry of Labour and Social Security.

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in EHS roles within manufacturing environments.

• At least 3 years of experience in the Food, Beverage, FMCG, or Pharmaceutical industries.

• Strong knowledge of Turkish OHS and environmental legislation.

• Good knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.

• Familiarity with food safety standards such as BRCGS, IFS, or FSSC 22000.

• Environmental Officer (Çevre Görevlisi) certification is an advantage.

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
