Operations Analyst -French Speaking ( 1 Year Fixed Term Contract)

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations Analyst for our global business partner. In this role, you will play a key part in international trade operations, logistics coordination, and customer/supplier relationship management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth shipping processes, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective operations while maintaining excellent communication with all stakeholders.
This is a temporary position for 1 year contract.
Key Responsibilities
Shipment & Financial Management: Manage shipments, related documentation, and customer collections; track payments to suppliers and ocean freight companies.
Logistics Coordination: Collect and compare quotes from freight forwarders, and plan and coordinate transportation operations.
Data Integrity: Maintain and update accurate operational data within the ERP system in alignment with company policies.
Customs Compliance: Ensure all import and export customs clearance procedures for traded products strictly comply with local regulations.
Process Optimization: Analyze and optimize costs and operational processes to drive performance improvements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate operations seamlessly with finance and credit departments to guarantee that all transactions are executed within legal frameworks.
Negotiation: Conduct price negotiations with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and inspection/survey companies.
Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular shipment updates internally and to customers, ensuring transparency.
Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and clients to deliver top-tier service.
Qualifications & Requirements
Language Skills: Full professional proficiency in both French and English is mandatory.
Education: Minimum of an Associate Degree (equivalent to Bac +2).
Experience: At least 2 years of recent, proven experience in international logistics or import/export sales operations.
Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office applications; prior experience with ERP systems is highly preferred.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills with a natural inclination for teamwork and collaboration.
Resilience: Ability to thrive and perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
