Turkiye Technology Center is looking for “Software Engineer” and offering them the opportunity to work with state-of-art technologies and applications, specializing in aircraft and industrial engine repair processes, in a technology base located in Gebze, Kocaeli which is being established by General Electric Aviation, GE MTC (General Electric Marmara Technology Center) and  TEI (Tusaş Engine Industries, Inc.).

Expected qualification, requirements and desired characteristics from candidates are as below:  

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in software development
• Good understanding of Python and Python Libraries
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Excellent communication & teamwork skills

Desired Characteristics

• Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
• Experience in Data Science / Analytics, Probabilistic, Machine Learning
• Experience in Numpy, Pandas, Scipy, Scikit-Learn
• General understanding of DevOps and CI/CD
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment 

The essential responsibilities of this position are:

• Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements & vision
• Identify the scope of the work, provide initial estimate and justify the estimate with facts
• Demonstrate the understanding of Agile software development lifecycle and able to distinguish the core inputs and outputs in each cycle.
• Engage in technical discussions; participate in technical designs and present technical ideas through white boarding
• Execute in a fast pace delivery mode and focus in delivering tasks to meet the product release goal
• Maintain code quality through best practices, unit testing and code quality automation
• Understand whole product, its modules and the interrelationship between them while being an expert in the assigned component or module
• Articulate the need for scalability and understand the importance of improving quality through testing.
• Be an expert in assessing application performance and optimizing/improving it through design and best coding practices
• Be an expert in core data structures as well as algorithms and has the ability to implement them using language of choice
