Quality Engineer – Fiber Optic/Electronic Assembly

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Engineer to oversee quality assurance activities forfiber optic and electronic component assembly and production processes. The ideal candidate will ensure that products meet internal and customer specifications, drive continuous improvement efforts, and support compliance with international quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and ensure the quality electronic assembly processes across production lines.
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures, inspection plans, and testing protocols.
• Perform root cause analysis and initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conformities.
• Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI), In-Process Inspections (IPI), and Final Inspections (FI) as required.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to address quality issues and implement improvements.
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation in compliance with ISO 9001, IPC, and customer-specific standards.
• Manage customer complaints
• Participate in internal and external audits and follow up on audit findings.
• Train production staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a quality assurance role in electronics or fiber optic manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or IPC-A-610.
• Experience with fiber optic inspection and testing (e.g., connector inspection, insertion loss, return loss measurements) is a plus.
• Familiarity with failure analysis tools (e.g., Fishbone, 5-Why, FMEA).
• Proficient in using measurement and inspection equipment (calipers, microscopes, optical testers, etc.).
• Strong documentation and reporting skills; attention to detail is critical.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or QMS software is preferred.
• Fluent in English (both written and verbal); C1 Level. Please attach/document your proof of English language proficiency with your application.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with customer-specific quality standards (e.g., aerospace, telecom, or medical sectors).
• Knowledge of ERP/MES systems
• Experience working in ISO-certified environments.
• Experience with fiber optic connectorization, splicing, and testing is a strong asset.
