Senior Electrical Maintenance and Automation Engineer

YC INOX is a 100% Taiwanese-owned company. With approximately 300 employees, the company operates in the fields of stainless steel tubes, industrial piping, and service center operations.

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Maintenance and Automation Engineer to ensure the planned, safe, and efficient execution of electrical maintenance and automation activities throughout the factory. The role involves coordinating the electrical maintenance team, ensuring rapid response to equipment failures, and maintaining the safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of machinery and equipment.

Job Description:

· Create daily work plans for the electrical maintenance team, assign tasks, and monitor the progress of work,

· Ensure that weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual planned maintenance activities for equipment and machinery are carried out on time and in compliance with established standards,

· Coordinate the team to ensure rapid and effective responses to electrical and automation breakdowns throughout the factory; provide technical support on-site,

· Manage high-voltage (HV) and medium-voltage (MV) power disconnection and reconnection procedures,

· Analyze the root causes of breakdowns, develop permanent improvement actions for recurring issues, and oversee their implementation,

· Manage the identification and resolution processes for faults related to PLCs, electrical control systems, and automation systems,

· Verify that machinery and equipment are commissioned safely and correctly following maintenance,

· Ensuring that maintenance, breakdown, and downtime records are kept completely; and that job handovers are carried out regularly.

· Ensuring that the team adheres to occupational health and safety regulations, maintenance instructions, and energy isolation/LOTO procedures,

· To track spare part requirements; to coordinate the activities of external service, suppliers, and subcontractors in the field,

· To contribute to improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing maintenance performance and equipment continuity, and to give regular information to the manager.

General Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering, or Control and Automation Engineering.

· Possess a High Voltage Operation Responsibility certificate (preferred).

· Have at least 5 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance and automation within the manufacturing sector (preferably in the iron and steel industry); experience in team leadership/supervision is preferred.

· Possess a strong understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations and safety standards for electrical work (including LOTO – Lockout/Tagout procedures).

· Proficient in English, with the ability to read and interpret technical documentation and communicate with international sources or suppliers when necessary.

· Capable of reading and interpreting electrical schematics, control panels, and single-line diagrams.

· Proficient in PLC and SCADA software such as Siemens (TIA Portal), Mitsubishi, Schneider, Delta, or equivalent systems (experience with Mitsubishi PLCs is an asset).

· Knowledgeable in industrial communication protocols—such as Profibus, Profinet, Modbus, and Ethernet/IP—with the ability to perform troubleshooting on these networks.

· Experienced with AC/DC motor drives (inverters), soft starters, sensors, switchgear components, and low-voltage control panels.

· Capable of supervising maintenance technicians and coordinating effectively with shift teams.

· Experienced with PLCs, electrical control systems, and automation equipment.

· Knowledgeable regarding the electrical and automation aspects of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

· Proficient in planned and predictive maintenance practices.

· Disciplined in maintaining maintenance records and tracking work tasks;

· Preferably familiar with generator, UPS, trafo, AG/OG systems, and low-current systems, with strong team management, communication, and coordination skills.
