Maintenance Chief

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Chief to join a well-established manufacturing company operating in theautomotive supplier industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, leading the maintenance team and ensuring equipment reliability and availability to support safe and efficient production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities for production equipment and plant utilities.
• Ensure maintenance activities are performed in accordance with occupational health and safety requirements, environmental standards and company procedures.
• Lead the maintenance team, assign daily tasks and monitor the timely and effective completion of maintenance activities.
• Support daily production by responding to equipment breakdowns and coordinating actions to restore operations.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement sustainable solutions to prevent recurring breakdowns.
• Coordinate maintenance activities for welding equipment, robotic systems and other manufacturing machinery.
• Develop and update maintenance plans, checklists and work instructions in line with equipment requirements and company standards.
• Ensure the effective use of the maintenance management system and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs, including equipment availability, downtime, MTBF, MTTR and preventive maintenance completion, and initiate improvement actions.
• Coordinate with Production, Production Planning, Engineering and Quality to schedule maintenance activities and minimize production interruptions.
• Monitor spare parts requirements and stock levels, and coordinate purchasing needs to ensure maintenance continuity.
• Coordinate external service providers and contractors, ensuring compliance with safety, quality and technical requirements.
• Support the installation, commissioning and acceptance of new machinery and equipment.
• Contribute to TPM, continuous improvement and equipment efficiency initiatives.
• Identify the technical training needs of maintenance personnel and support their development.
• Support maintenance budget preparation and monitor maintenance expenses.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in maintenance activities within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive or automotive supplier industry.
• Experience in supervising maintenance teams and coordinating maintenance operations.
• Hands-on experience with welding equipment maintenance and robotic systems.
• Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance practices.
• Knowledge of PLC systems and troubleshooting is an advantage.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS); familiarity with BOYSWEB is preferred.
• Good command of MS Office applications and familiarity with ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize maintenance needs and work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards is preferred.
• Good command of English is preferred.
