Production Engineer (Welding&Sheet Metal Process)

We are looking for a Production Engineer to join our team! The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing processes, particularly welding and sheet metal operations, and a strong focus on production efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement

Key Responsibilities

·   Monitor the implementation of daily, weekly, and monthly production plans and support the achievement of production targets.

·   Follow shop-floor operations across laser cutting, pressing, press-brake bending, welding, and assembly.

·   Drive activities aimed at achieving production efficiency, quality, cost, and delivery targets.

·   Monitor welding and fabrication processes, evaluate factors affecting weld quality, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

·   Identify production bottlenecks and support the effective utilization of machinery, manpower, and materials.

·   Analyze scrap, rework, machine downtime, and other production losses, and implement actions to reduce them.

·   Conduct root cause analysis of technical and operational problems and develop sustainable corrective actions.

·   Ensure that technical drawings, work instructions, and process standards are correctly applied on the shop floor.

·   Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Warehouse, and Purchasing teams to ensure smooth production flow.

·   Monitor and report production KPIs and contribute to continuous improvement activities.

·   Ensure that production activities comply with occupational health and safety rules and quality requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

·   Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical and Materials, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechatronics Engineering.

·   At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or production process management.

·   Experience in automotive or automotive supplier industries is preferred..

·   Good understanding of laser cutting, pressing, press-brake bending, and sheet metal forming processes.

·   Experience in production planning follow-up, process monitoring, capacity utilization, and productivity improvement.

·   Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and root cause analysis skills.

·   Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP/MRP systems is an advantage.

·   Strong communication skills, a collaborative approach, and willingness to work actively on the shop floor.

·   Good planning, organization, reporting, and follow-up skills.

Preferred Qualifications

·   Knowledge of automotive industry quality and production standards.

·   Knowledge of welding and fabrication processes, including welding methods, process parameters, and factors affecting weld quality

·   Experience with MIG/MAG and TIG welding processes.

·   Knowledge of automotive quality tools such as IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
