Manufacturing Engineer

SIO Automotive Taşıt Yedek Parça Sanayi Tic.A.Ş.

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join SIO Automotive and contribute to the management and continuous improvement of our production processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering or a related engineering field,

• At least 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry,

• Hands-on shop floor experience in welding and machining processes,

• Experience in coordinating and managing production teams in a shift-based environment,

• Preferably experience in the automotive industry or high-volume serial production,

• Knowledge and practical experience in lean manufacturing methodologies,

• Ability to effectively use 5S, Kaizen, standard work, visual management and problem-solving tools,

• Experience in analysing OEE, productivity, scrap, cycle times and downtime,

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production documentation,

• Basic knowledge of IATF 16949 and Integrated Management System requirements,

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills,

• Strong communication skills and the ability to demonstrate leadership on the shop floor,

• Proficiency in MS Office applications; experience with ERP systems is preferred,

• Good command of English; knowledge of German is considered an advantage.

Job Description

• Ensure that production activities in the assigned areas are carried out in line with daily and shift-based production plans,

• Monitor welding and machining processes in accordance with quality, productivity and production targets,

• Coordinate the allocation of tasks and daily operations of production teams across shifts,

• Monitor and analyse production volume, productivity, scrap, cycle times, downtime, setup and changeover times, and OEE,

• Coordinate actions with relevant departments to address bottlenecks, capacity losses, quality issues and machine downtime,

• Analyse production losses and waste and carry out activities to improve productivity,

• Implement improvements to reduce setup and product changeover times,

• Ensure the effective implementation of standard work, 5S, Kaizen and visual management practices on the shop floor,

• Monitor workforce utilisation, operator competencies and shift requirements,

• Take an active role in the introduction of new products and processes,

• Monitor compliance with production instructions, process parameters and standard working methods,

• Support the implementation of IATF 16949 and Integrated Management System requirements in production areas,

• Work in coordination with Quality, Maintenance, Process Engineering, Planning and other relevant departments,

• Monitor compliance with occupational health and safety, environmental and company procedures on the shop floor,

• Regularly report on production performance, losses and ongoing actions.
