Quality Assurance Engineer

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join SIO Automotive and contribute to the implementation and development of quality assurance and management system processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Mechanical, Industrial, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering or a related engineering field,

• At least 5 years of experience in quality assurance and/or management systems,

• Quality experience in the automotive industry or in a high-standard serial production environment,

• Practical experience with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards,

• Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 10002 management systems,

• Strong understanding of the Integrated Management System approach,

• Preferably knowledge of or project experience with ISO 27001 and/or ISO 50001 standards,

• Practical experience with quality tools including APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC and MSA,

• Ability to effectively use 8D and systematic problem-solving methodologies,

• Experience in internal and process audits; system audit experience is preferred,

• Experience in customer complaint management, corrective actions and root cause analysis,

• Experience in management system documentation and the process approach,

• A risk-based thinking and continuous improvement mindset,

• Strong analytical thinking, coordination and problem-solving skills,

• Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate cross-functional activities,

• Proficiency in MS Office applications; experience with ERP systems is preferred,

• Good command of English; knowledge of German is considered an advantage.

Job Description

• Support the effective implementation and continuity of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 10002 management systems,

• Monitor changes to management system standards and ensure their application to relevant processes,

• Monitor and maintain the currency of procedures, instructions, processes and records within the Integrated Management System,

• Take an active role in ISO 27001 and ISO 50001 certification preparation and implementation activities,

• Coordinate the integration of new management system standards into existing processes,

• Contribute to the preparation and implementation of internal audit programmes and the follow-up of audit results,

• Coordinate preparations for customer, certification body and other external audits,

• Follow up on root cause analyses for audit nonconformities and ensure that corrective actions are closed on time,

• Ensure the implementation of IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements in relevant processes,

• Take an active role in the analysis of customer complaints and related problem-solving activities,

• Ensure the effective use of 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa and similar problem-solving methodologies,

• Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions,

• Monitor and analyse customer quality performance and relevant quality indicators,

• Support quality activities within APQP processes,

• Monitor and maintain the currency of PFMEAs, Control Plans, Process Flow Charts and related quality documents,

• Coordinate quality assurance activities during the introduction of new products and processes,

• Participate in process, product and system audits,

• Carry out activities to identify risks and improvement opportunities,

• Contribute to the preparation of performance indicators, audit results, customer feedback and system data for Management Review meetings,

• Identify improvement areas by evaluating quality costs, customer complaints and recurring nonconformities,

• Work in coordination with Production, Quality Control, R&D, Process Engineering, Maintenance, Occupational Health and Safety, Environment, IT and other relevant departments,

• Regularly report on management systems and quality performance.
