About the Position

We are looking for a Purchasing Specialist to join our team at our Cerkezkoy location. The successful candidate will play an active role in international supplier management, strategic cost optimization, and purchasing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• At least two years of experience in purchasing.
• Advanced proficiency in English, with the ability to independently manage written and verbal communication, meetings, and commercial negotiations with international suppliers.
• Previous purchasing experience in the nonwoven, textile, fibre, chemical, or similar manufacturing industries is preferred.
• Competence in technical purchasing, supplier management, price negotiations, and cost analysis.
• Ability to monitor raw material markets, analyse cost fluctuations, and report on the findings.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience with ERP systems.
• Ability to contribute to supplier development, cost improvement, and efficiency initiatives.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, planning, and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a results-oriented and proactive approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Currently residing in Cerkezkoy or the surrounding area, or willing to relocate.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing processes for fibers, textile raw materials, chemicals, machinery parts, and other production requirements; record purchase requisitions in the ERP system and monitor orders.
• Research new suppliers that meet technical specifications, carry out alternative supplier development activities, and coordinate the onboarding of new suppliers and sample approval processes with the relevant departments.
• Obtain quotations from domestic and international suppliers; evaluate prices, quality, payment terms, and delivery conditions; conduct commercial negotiations and conclude purchasing agreements.
• Conduct cost analyses of purchased products; monitor market trends for fibres, chemicals, and other raw materials; analyse the impact of price fluctuations on costs and prepare reports.
• Monitor supplier performance and work with suppliers on cost reduction, efficiency, and process improvement initiatives.
• Track orders, shipments, and deliveries to ensure the timely supply of materials; provide support for import, customs clearance, and international logistics processes when required.
• Conduct analyses and prepare reports related to purchasing processes; work in coordination with relevant departments to support continuity of supply and operational efficiency.
