Production Manager

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to join a well-established manufacturing company operating in the automotive supplier industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production operations in line with safety, quality, delivery, cost and efficiency targets, while leading continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring effective utilization of people, machinery and production capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily, weekly and monthly production activities to ensure achievement of production targets.
• Coordinate with Production Planning to optimize capacity utilization, workforce allocation and production resources.
• Lead production teams and drive actions to improve productivity, efficiency and operational performance.
• Ensure efficient utilization of production resources, equipment and manufacturing processes in line with operational targets.
• Monitor and continuously improve welding, bending, testing and other manufacturing processes.
• Monitor key production KPIs including OEE, productivity, scrap, rework, downtime and efficiency, and initiate corrective actions when targets are not achieved.
• Lead and promote Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen and TPM activities across production operations.
• Ensure production processes are performed in accordance with work instructions, quality standards and customer requirements.
• Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities to reduce quality losses, breakdowns and production downtime.
• Ensure production readiness for new product launches, including equipment, capacity, workforce and process requirements.
• Coordinate planned, predictive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure equipment availability and operational continuity.
• Develop sustainable technical solutions to minimize equipment failures and recurring production issues.
• Lead, coach and develop production supervisors, engineers and operational teams; identify development and training needs.
• Identify and manage operational risks and opportunities and ensure timely implementation of required actions.
• Ensure compliance with Quality, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems and company procedures.
• Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Solid management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the automotive or automotive supplier industry.
• Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes, production technologies and equipment is highly preferred.
• Strong experience in production management, capacity planning and workforce management.
• Proven experience in managing production KPIs such as OEE, productivity, scrap, rework and downtime.
• Good knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards is preferred.
• Experience or good understanding of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance processes.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to develop and motivate teams.
• Analytical, result-oriented and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Good command of MS Office applications.
• Good command of English.
