We are looking for a Production Planning Engineer to join our growing organization located in Dilovası, Kocaeli.

What Awaits You in This Role?

As a Production Planning Engineer at İnci Endüstri, you will not only create production plans; you will actively take part in the planning and coordination of the entire process, from order receipt to completion of production.

Working closely with the production floor, you will manage capacity, delivery schedules, materials, subcontracting, and production processes in coordination. You will contribute to production continuity and operational efficiency by identifying potential issues and developing fast and effective solutions.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

·         Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline,

·         Minimum 5 years of experience in production planning, preferably in project/order-based manufacturing environments such as metal manufacturing, welded fabrication, or machinery manufacturing,

·         Good command of written and spoken English,

·         Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings,

·         Good knowledge of production flows involving welding, sheet metal processing, and assembly operations,

·         Ability to evaluate the impact of production processes such as cutting, bending, welding, grinding, surface preparation/painting, and assembly on production planning, capacity, and delivery schedules,

·         Ability to perform capacity and delivery planning by considering work center, machine, and labor capacities, and to anticipate potential bottlenecks,

·         Knowledge and experience in MRP, material requirements planning, inventory tracking, and production orders,

·         Proficiency in ERP systems; knowledge of MES, digital production tracking, or similar production management systems is an advantage,

·         Strong command of MS Office, particularly Excel,

·         Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze production data, performplanned vs. actual comparisons, and conduct variance analysis,

·         Ability to prioritize effectively and manage production plan revisions under changing customer priorities, order revisions, and production conditions,

·         Willingness to work closely with the production floor and adapt to its dynamic environment,

·         Strong monitoring and follow-up skills with a result-oriented and solution-focused approach,

·         Strong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and coordination skills, with a strong team-oriented mindset,

·         Ability to coordinate effectively with Production, Purchasing, Sales, Quality, and other relevant departments,

·         Interest in digital manufacturing technologies, data analytics, and AI-supported tools, with the ability to effectively utilize these technologies in planning, reporting, and process improvement activities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

·         Review customer orders, technical drawings, project details, and technical requirements and carry outproduction planning and delivery scheduling activities,

·         Analyze the manufacturing processes of projects and orders and prepareproduction plans by considering operation sequences, production lead times, and required capacities,

·         Prepare, publish, and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production plans for production departments,

·         Monitor the capacity and workload of work centers; identify capacity overload, delay, and bottleneck risks in advance and develop alternative production and prioritization scenarios with relevant departments,

·         Keep the production planning system up to date on a daily basis and regularly monitorplanned vs. actual production,

·         Compare planned and actual production times, analyze the root causes of variances, and contribute to improvement initiatives aimed at reducing recurring deviations,

·         Monitor material requirements based on production plans and identify shortages or critical materials in advance, coordinating necessary actions with Purchasing and relevant departments,

·         Follow up on purchasing, material supply, and pre-production processes to ensurecontinuity of the production flow,

·         Identify potential delays, disruptions, and bottlenecks at an early stage and ensure that the necessary actions are taken together with relevant departments,

·         Ensure that customer-specific requirements, technical changes, and order revisions are accurately and timely reflected in production plans,

·         Evaluate revision requests together with Sales and relevant technical/production departments and analyze their impact oncapacity, materials, and delivery schedules, incorporating the results into production plans,

·         Update production plans according to changes in order priorities or production conditions and ensure that relevant departments are informed in a timely manner,

·         Ensure that production-related data is recorded accurately and systematically; prepare and analyzeproduction, tonnage, capacity, delivery, and planned-vs.-actual reports,

·         Provide the Sales Department with accurate and timely information regardingproduction status, delivery risks, and the latest production plan,

·         Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing capacity utilization, production efficiency, and planning accuracy,

·         Monitor the accuracy and timeliness of data in ERP/MES and other digital production tracking systems and contribute to the development of a  data-driven production planning culture,

·         Maintain continuous and effective communication with Production, Purchasing, Sales, Quality, and other relevant departments to support the completion of orders in line with planned quality and delivery targets.
