Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program at a university that provides mandatory internship insurance coverage.
- Basic knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) regulations.
- Familiarity with Risk Assessment methodologies.
- Strong data collection, record-keeping, and reporting skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Proactive, responsible, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to actively participate in field activities and site inspections.
- Available to work at least 2-3 days per week.
- Able to complete a long-term internship of at least 40 working days.
Internship start and end dates will be determined mutually based on the candidate's availability.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will support our Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) team by:
- Participating in site tours and EHS inspections to identify unsafe conditions and behaviors.
- Conducting Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance checks and recording identified non-conformities.
- Maintaining and updating EHS records, action tracking lists, and related documentation.
- Supporting the preparation of incident, near-miss, training, and audit reports.
- Taking an active role in continuous improvement initiatives related to EHS processes.
- Supporting contractor management activities and related EHS compliance processes.
