• Preferably a graduate of Engineering departments of universities,
• At least 7 years of experience in raw material purchasing,
• Active experience in metal raw material purchasing,
• Preferably knowledgeable about the market and suppliers of copper, aluminum, steel, stainless steel or metal semi-finished products,
• Knowledgeable about LME and commodity pricing mechanisms and able to interpret market movements,
• Experienced in price formulas and cost components in metal raw materials,
• Experienced in cost analysis and cost optimization,
• Proficient in international purchasing, import and Incoterms processes,
• Strong negotiation and commercial analysis skills,
• Advanced Excel skills; preferably SAP/ERP experience,
• Advanced English language skills,
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and results-oriented work skills,
• Team player and results oriented.

OB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Metal Raw Material Purchasing Specialist to manage end-to-end metal raw material procurement processes in line with our production needs, and to develop competitive and sustainable supply solutions by closely monitoring global and local metal markets. 

• Managing metal raw material procurement processes in accordance with production plans and inventory targets,
• Monitoring local and global supplier markets for copper, aluminum, steel/stainless steel, and other raw materials,
• Conducting research for new suppliers and alternative sources,
• Executing RFQ/RFP processes and evaluating offers from both technical and commercial perspectives,
• Negotiating prices, payment terms, delivery, quantities, and other commercial conditions with suppliers,
• Closely monitoring LME and other international commodity benchmarks, exchange rates, and energy and freight costs,
• Evaluating long-term agreements, spot purchases, and pricing formulas based on company needs
• Monitoring price-fixing and index-based pricing mechanisms,
• Analyzing the impact of global market developments, supply-demand balance, capacity changes, and geopolitical events on raw material costs,
• Developing strategies regarding alternative suppliers, countries, and sources to ensure supply continuity,
• Monitoring supplier performance based on price, quality, delivery, and service criteria,
• Working closely with quality, production, planning, R&D, finance, and logistics teams,
• Preparing reports, analyses, and performance indicators related to purchasing processes.
