Lunes GmbH is a dynamic, fast-growing German engineering company with a global footprint. Since 2014, we've helped machine manufacturers strengthen their technological infrastructure. We're now expanding our development team in Germany and looking for an experienced Automation Software Engineer.

Your Tasks

·       Design and develop machine interfaces in C# using the Unified Automation .NET SDK for OPC UA servers

·       Define communication interfaces in close collaboration with customers and suppliers

·       Build intuitive HMI screens in C# / WPF

·       Work as part of a tight-knit engineering team or take full end-to-end ownership of projects

·       Commission systems on-site at customer facilities and support projects through to handover

Your Role
You'll develop and commission automation software for machines and production systems, taking technical responsibility for your projects while collaborating directly with our customers.

Your Profile

Must-haves:

·       Degree in computer science, technical informatics, or equivalent practical experience

·       Genuine interest in industrial automation, mechanical engineering, and how machines actually work

·       Solid software development experience in C#, C++, Java, or Python

·       Good German and English skills — you'll use both regularly

·       Willingness to travel for commissioning and customer engagements

Nice-to-haves:

·       Hands-on experience with OPC UA, UMATI, or ISA-95 Part 4

·       PLC programming background: TwinCAT 3 (ST), Siemens S7 (SCL), and/or CODESYS (ST)

·       Experience commissioning servo or frequency drives (Siemens, Lenze, Bosch, Beckhoff)

·       Valid driver's license (Class B)
