Project & Financial Controller

The Role

Pagetel is seeking a Project & Financial Controller with at least five years of experience in the financial control of industrial projects. The successful candidate will monitor project performance, margins, forecasts and cash flows, working closely with Project Management, Production, Procurement and Finance while supporting local management and the Group CFO.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor project budgets, actual costs, purchase commitments, estimate-to-complete and projected margins.
• Update forecasts, analyse variances and identify risks, opportunities and corrective actions.
• Oversee industrial costs and the accurate allocation of materials, labour, subcontracted work and overheads.
• Monitor working capital and cash flow, including inventory, work in progress, project progress, billing, receivables and collections.
• Support period-end closing, reconciliations and alignment between accounting records, project data and management reporting.
• Contribute to budgeting, financial planning, management reporting and Group reporting.
• Improve processes, data quality and analytical tools while promoting effective cross-functional coordination.

Candidate Profile

• At least five years of experience in project controlling, industrial controlling or a Finance role with comparable responsibilities, gained in a manufacturing or project-based environment.
• Strong accounting expertise, including period-end closing and reconciliations, with the ability to analyse the income statement, balance sheet, working capital and cash flow.
• Working knowledge of Turkish accounting requirements and local statutory obligations; sound knowledge of relevant IFRS standards and Group reporting.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting and project margin analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP or accounting systems, including the ability to integrate, validate and reconcile data from multiple sources.
• Degree in Economics, Finance, Management Engineering or a related discipline, or an equivalent background supported by strong accounting and financial expertise.

Languages

• Fluent Turkish, written and spoken, including professional and accounting terminology.
• Proficient in English, with the ability to prepare reports, manage professional correspondence and participate effectively in meetings.
• Italian is considered an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• One to two years of external audit experience involving manufacturing or project-based companies.
• Experience coordinating team members or leading Finance process-improvement initiatives.
• Experience in international groups, collaboration with Italian stakeholders and reporting automation tools.

Location and Travel

Based in Izmir, Türkiye, with availability for occasional short business trips, including travel to Italy.
