We are now looking for a Junior Sous Chef for our FOLIE Restaurant to join our team in Bodrum. 

Main Responsibilities 

  • Assist the Head Chef in the daily management of kitchen operations.
  • Supervise and direct the kitchen team and assist to plan weekly work schedules based on workload.
  • Ensure that food preparation and presentation strictly adhere to company standards, recipes, and portioning requirements.
  • Oversee the full implementation of HACCP, hygiene, and food safety policies within the kitchen.
  • Manage daily market order lists, stock, and inventory control.
  • Minimize food waste and spoilage to ensure the efficient use of the department's budget.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop creative menus and daily specials.
  • Oversee the fulfillment of special requests, VIP requirements, and specific dietary needs.
  • Assume the general responsibilities of the Kitchen Chef during their absence, holidays, or vacations.
  • Provide guidance to team members for immediate error correction and implement formal departmental training plans.

 Required Qualifications 

  • Degree in Culinary Arts or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a kitchen environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Junior Sous Chef.
  • Good command of English communication skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of food safety, HACCP, sanitation, and hygiene.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and take initiative.
  • Proven skills in team management, supervision, and direction.
  • Proficiency in inventory tracking, cost control, and equipment maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and a self-motivated mindset.
  • Flexibility to work long hours, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • High level of cooperation, team spirit, and a positive, willing-to-learn attitude.
