QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Set along the dazzling Bosphorus waterfront in the historic district of Karaköy, The Peninsula Istanbul provides a showcase for both vibrant Turkish culture and superlative hospitality within Galataport, a new waterfront revitalisation project. The hotel is comprised of four exquisite buildings – three of them historic and beautifully restored – and welcomes guests arriving by land or sea.

Key Accountabilities

  • To provide impeccable service to guests and create a luxurious dining experience, while assisting the Food & Beverage management team with attention to detail.
  • Handles all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and effective manner, reporting satisfactory resolutions to the Food & Beverage management.
  • Collaborates with the Food & Beverage management to plan, organize, and execute all F&B activities, including restaurant, banquets, room service, and bar operations.
  • Provides supervision and guidance to the Food & Beverage management team, supporting a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Ensures all staff actively follow HACCP standards, contributes to environmental preservation, and practices recycling or reduction whenever possible.
  • Assists in developing and managing the Food & Beverage department budget, monitoring expenses, and implementing cost-control measures to maximize profitability without compromising quality.
  • Assists in planning and executing special events, banquets, and catering services for groups, ensuring smooth operations and memorable experiences for guests.
 

General Requirements 

  • All-encompassing food and beverage knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and time management. 
  • A high-level understanding of the Istanbul market, and experience in high luxury casual dining.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Food & Beverage outlet with similar standards and expectations (Hotel based or Standalone). 
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Hospitality Management, or related fields is required.
  • Caring for team and guests and excellent communication skills. Good collaboration skills with others.
  • Able to train and motivate team to deliver exceptional service encounters.
