Tepe Restaurant & Lounge is a premium dining and lounge destination offering an elevated gastronomy experience with a breathtaking Bosphorus view.
We are looking for a Pastry Chef / Dessert Chef who will take ownership of our dessert kitchen, bringing creativity, precision, and excellence to every plate while elevating our overall guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute high-quality dessert menus in line with the restaurant’s concept
- Prepare and present desserts with consistency, creativity, and attention to detail
- Manage daily operations of the pastry/dessert section of the kitchen
- Ensure proper mise en place, production planning, and service flow
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and sanitation (HACCP compliance)
- Control food costs, minimize waste, and optimize ingredient usage
- Collaborate closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team for menu integration
- Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage stock levels efficiently
- Train, supervise, and develop junior pastry team members
- Stay updated with global pastry trends and continuously innovate
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in pastry/dessert roles in reputable restaurants, luxury venues, or 5-star hotels
- Strong knowledge of modern pastry techniques, baking, and dessert presentation
- Creativity and passion for gastronomy and dessert innovation
- Experience in menu development and cost control
- Familiarity with food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-standard kitchen environment
- Team-oriented mindset with leadership capabilities
