Productıvıty and Productıon Systems Development Manager

Gemak Group is seeking a Productivity and Production Systems Development Manager to improve processes and lead productivity improvement projects across our ship repair and maintenance operations.

Reporting to the Ship Repair and Maintenance (GBO) Director, this role will oversee production systems development, cross-departmental coordination and the completion of improvement actions.

Key Responsibilities

·         Analyse production processes and workforce and equipment utilisation to develop technological improvement projects.

·         Work with relevant departments on initiatives to improve quality, cost, delivery, productivity and occupational safety performance.

·         Define responsibilities, timelines and success criteria for approved development and improvement projects together with the relevant managers, and coordinate implementation.

·         Lead root cause analysis, pilot implementation and standardisation activities.

·         Track improvement actions assigned by the GBO Director and report delays, risks and resource requirements.

·         Measure project benefits, roll out successful practices and manage the team.

Qualifications

·         A degree in a relevant engineering discipline and a minimum of 15–20 years of experience in heavy industry.

·         Experience in process development, continuous improvement and project management.

·         Proficiency in data analysis, performance measurement and management reporting.

·         Strong team management, communication and cross-departmental coordination skills.

·         A good command of spoken and written English.

·         The ability to implement improvements on site through disciplined planning and follow-up.

·         Hands-on experience in Lean / Six Sigma initiatives.
