R&D Specialist

We are looking for an R&D Specialist to join our Applied Research team at our Kocaeli/Dilovası location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering or other relevant engineering disciplines, preferably,
• Preferably holding or pursuing a Master's degree,
• Preferably at least 2 years of experience in the metal industry,
• Knowledge of material characterization techniques (microstructural analysis, mechanical testing, SEM-EDS, XRD, etc.),
• No restrictions on domestic or international travel,
• Residing in or willing to relocate to the Asian side of Istanbul or Kocaeli.
  
  

Job Responsibilities

• Participate as a team member or project leader in new product development, process design, quality improvement, and productivity enhancement projects related to aluminum production through continuous casting technology,
• Conduct and coordinate detailed material characterization studies related to R&D projects, analyze results, and prepare technical reports,
• Investigate the root causes of quality defects using comprehensive material characterization techniques, identify corrective and preventive actions, communicate findings to relevant departments, and lead the implementation of necessary improvements,
• Manage R&D projects focused on process cost reduction, quality improvement, and identification of critical process parameters affecting product quality, applying structured project management methodologies,
• Collaborate with customers and suppliers on joint R&D projects when required.
