Mid-Level Associate Lawyer

GSI is seeking a Mid-Level Associate Lawyer with a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience to serve as a vital bridge between junior attorneys and partners. The ideal candidate will independently manage discrete deals and litigation matters, supervise junior team members, and drive the integration of AI-powered legal technologies into daily practice. 

Core Responsibilities 

Matter Management: Independently manage smaller cases or specific workstreams within large-scale corporate transactions and complex litigation, ensuring end-to-end accountability and timely delivery. 

Drafting and Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of complex legal documents including commercial contracts, pleadings and settlemet agreements. 

Team Supervision: Delegate research, document review, and cite-checking to junior associates and paralegals; provide constructive feedback and mentorship. 

Client Communication:Field daily client inquiries, prepare status updates, and participate in client meetings under partner supervision, maintaining responsive and commercially aware communication. 

Due Diligence and Research: Lead due diligence investigations and conduct in-depth legal research, synthesizing multi-source outputs to produce structured legal opinions and strategy memoranda. 

Legal Engineering: Leverage GSI's legal intelligence operating system and its agentic AI capabilities across daily workflows from research and drafting to matter tracking, to work more efficiently and deliver sharper results to clients. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in law with bar admission; LL.M. from a reputable law school is strongly preferred. 
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience across both corporate advisory and dispute resolution gained in a major law firm, highly regarded boutique or in-house legal department. 
• Comprehensive command of the Turkish Commercial Code, Code of Obligations, and Execution and Bankruptcy Law. 
• Full professional proficiency in Turkish and English, with exceptional written and oral communication skills in both languages. 
• Proven ability to meet demanding client deadlines, manage competing priorities, and maintain composure in high-pressure environments. 
• Genuine enthusiasm for legal technology and a mindset geared toward continuous improvement of legal workflows through technology.
