Job Description

We are looking for a Business Development Manager who will play a key role in expanding our global footprint and driving business growth as part of our International Markets and Business Development Directorate.

•       Design and lead the business development strategy in alignment with the company’s 3–5 year growth objectives and long-term strategic priorities
•       Drive portfolio optimization and define therapeutic area-based portfolio strategies, including priority product groups, market entry strategies, and competitive advantages.
•       Identify and develop long-term opportunity areas based on global market trends, patent expiries, pricing regulations, and competitive dynamics.
•       Build and manage senior-level relationships with global manufacturers, technology providers, and commercial partners.
•       Lead strategic decision-making processes for licensing, co-development, co-marketing, technology transfer, and supply agreements.
•       Strategically structure contractual frameworks, including option models, regional rights planning, price protection mechanisms, and KPI-based agreement structures.
•       Evaluate market potential, competitive landscape, pricing, launch strategies, and profitability analyses from a strategic perspective.
•       Lead complex negotiations with global suppliers covering pricing, minimum order quantities (MOQs), supply security, API cost breakdowns, royalties, and commercial rights.
•       Provide strategic direction across cross-functional stakeholder groups, including Legal, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, and Quality.
•       Define launch priorities, market entry timelines, and strategic investment requirements.
•       Conduct risk assessments for pipeline projects and provide senior management with recommendations on go/no-go and project progression decisions.
•       Lead and develop the Business Development team, ensuring effective performance management, talent development, and alignment with strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Pharmacy, Biological Sciences, or a related field
• Advanced proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is required; proficiency in any additional language is considered a strong asset
• Minimum 8 - 12 years of experience in business development preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; team-oriented mindset
• Excellent strategic thinking, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in multicultural environments and with people from diverse background
• Enjoys collaborating across cultures and building international relationships
