Freshly brewed coffee to greet the day as you watch the sun rays’ shimmer on the inviting Aegean Sea, a delicious lunch after you take a swim in the refreshing water, a delicately mixed cocktail, or a glass of wine as the sun sets over the Greek Archipelago.
Summary of Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities and tasks of this position include, but are not limited to:
- To ensure smooth kitchen operations during night shifts, maintaining consistency in food preparation according to hotel standards and recipes
- To provide professional, attentive, and efficient service while supporting team members during night operations
- To prepare mise en place for late-night service and support early morning preparation for the following day
- To monitor and control food quality, portioning, and presentation standards during the night shift
- To ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation (FIFO) of all food products to minimize waste and spoilage
- To maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils throughout the shift
- To strictly follow all hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards (HACCP)
- To handle night shift responsibilities independently with minimal supervision
- To report any equipment malfunctions, stock shortages, or operational issues to the Executive Chef/Sous Chef
- To support communication between night and day teams by ensuring proper handover and documentation
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar culinary role, preferably in hotel operations
- Experience in night shift operations is an advantage
- Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
- Ability to work independently and take initiative during night shifts
- Physically fit and able to work night hours
- Highly responsible, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Strong team player with good communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment
- Basic English communication skills preferred
