Accounting Specialist

We are looking for a team member to join our Finance organization who has a solid understanding of Turkish accounting and tax practices, can manage accounting processes end-to-end, and is able to communicate effectively in English with international teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage general accounting processes end-to-end.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Monitor and maintain accounts receivable/payable, bank, fixed asset, and inventory accounting processes.
• Prepare and follow up on tax and statutory accounting requirements.
• Manage e-Invoice, e-Ledger, and other statutory electronic applications.
• Prepare supporting documentation and analyses for audits and statutory reporting.
• Execute and control accounting transactions in SAP.
• Communicate and collaborate with Global Finance teams in English.
• Identify opportunities for strengthening controls, standardization, digitalization, and automation within accounting processes.

Profile We Are Looking For

• Proven experience in accounting.
• Strong knowledge of Turkish accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Ability to manage and follow transactions from source documentation through booking, control, reconciliation, and closing stages.
• Strong SAP and Excel skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Holds a CPA (SMMM) license or is currently pursuing / eligible to pursue the CPA qualification process.
• Detail-oriented while maintaining a holistic view of processes.
• Strong follow-up, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Takes ownership and responsibility for assigned processes.
